Qld: Pedestrian killed in hit and run
BRISBANE, Aug 4 AAP - A 24-year-old man was killed in a hit and run near Laidley, west
of Brisbane, overnight.
Senior Constable Andrew Johns said the pedestrian was hit on the Laidley-Plainland
Road, 3km west of Laidley, about midnight (AEST) by an unknown vehicle.
He said police discovered the man's body which has been taken to Toowoomba for a post-mortem
examination on Monday.
Traffic investigation officers are investigating the incident.
The man's identity has not been released.
